Welcome to The Mew!, your source for interviews with our adoptable cats. Today we meet with Honey. You may remember Honey from our hit Youtube video “Cats! Cats! Cats!”. She is the star of many other movies, although most of her starring roles are in her head. ZZ Top must have known this cat, because she’s a lover and a fighter… a heartbreaker and a love taker. She is the Helen of Troy of cats… Put your paws together for Honey!
[Riotous applause and meowing.]
Q: Thank you for coming on the show Honey!
A: Bless your heart. It is so great to give back to my fans.
Q: And you have so many of them!
A: I’m thankful for every one.
Q: People say that you have this star quality about you, and yet, unlike some more aloof stars, you seem to really connect with your fans on a one on one basis.
A: I try to make everyone feel appreciated, because I appreciate anyone who will take to time to come say hello. Fame without human connection doesn’t amount to a hill of beans. I will purr and knead ‘til the cows come home for my fans. I’m a loud purr-er. I’m thinking my next role will be in a mew-sical.
Q: But any star has their quirks. What does your list of requirements for the green room include?
A: I’m fixin’ to find someone that’ll keep my litter box just so. I’m not an outdoor cat. Do I look like an outdoor cat, y’all?
Q: I’m not going to go there.
A: Basically, I have needs. I need attention. As long as there is someone around for me to love on then we are fine and dandy. I’ll get along with just about anybody. I’m even great with kids. I’ve loved having the SB Humane Society Critter Campers come and visit me. If I had my druthers, I’d have as many hands petting me as possible at all times. I also like playing with lasers.
Q: It’s been great getting to know one of SB Humane Society’s up and coming stars.
A: PuuuuuuurruurururrrrrrRRRRRrrrrrrRRRRRRrrrrrrRRRRRrrrrrrrrrr, Mew!
