We are thankful to everyone who dedicates their time to our animals. We’d like to take a moment to thank our Enrichment Coordinator Larry for all he does for the animals. Larry started out as an Animal Care Attendant, but soon everyone could see positive way the dogs responded to his quiet and empathetic manner. Now, Larry co-runs playgroups and makes sure that every dog is given what he or she needs to be successful in finding a home.

You may not be surprised to hear that most dogs don’t find shelter life easy. Larry is there to analyze and provide what each individual dog needs to relieve stress. Dogs need things like boredom alleviating food toys, or a job to do, like learning scent work- each individual has different preferences, so Larry has to figure out what they are trying to tell him! Thank you Larry!
