Adoption Fees

Dogs: $80.00
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, health exam, vaccinations, microchip with registration, temperament evaluation, worming for puppies, background/personality profile, starter packet of food & dog care booklet.
Cats: $60.00
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, health exam, vaccinations, feline leukemia test, microchip with registration, temperament evaluation, worming for kittens, background/personality profile, cat carrier, starter packet of food & cat care booklet.
Seniors for Seniors: $25.00
This program is for Seniors 60 years of age or more who adopt a dog or cat who is at least 7 years old. Adoption fee includes all the services and supplies of a regular adoption PLUS a one-year membership with all member benefits with the Santa Barbara Humane Society.

**Dogs in heat should be scheduled a minimum of 8 weeks after their heat cycle (bleeding) has finished in order to avoid complications and additional charges; Please be advised that dogs found or known to be pregnant may not be able to undergo surgery based on a risk evaluation by the veterinarian.**
Cats
Male: $40.00
Female: $60.00
**Additional charges apply if pregnant or in heat**

We are now offering IV Catheters and Fluid support for all of our canine surgical patients at an additional cost of $35.  Please call or talk to our staff the day of your pet’s surgery appointment for more information.

We are also now offering in-house pre-operative blood work for our surgery patients at a cost of $65.  Please call or inquire the morning of surgery for more information.  

All the charges listed above also include an anti-lick collar.

Feline Leukemia: $20.00
All cats must be tested for Leukemia prior to beginning Leukemia vaccination series.
Leukemia Test: $20.00
Deworming for roundworms and hookworms for Kittens & Puppies
(6 months of age and younger): $5.00 per dose
Two doses recommended at 2 to 3 weeks apart

Boarding* Fees

Dog Boarding $20.00/day
Extra feedings or special instructions add $2.00 daily.
All dogs must have the following vaccinations prior to entering boarding:

  • Rabies
Cat Boarding $15.00/day
Extra feedings or special instructions add $2.00 daily.
All cats must have the following vaccinations prior to entering boarding:

  • FVRCP
  • Rabies
