Our Adoption Process
At the Santa Barbara Humane Society we have many animals available for adoption. You can view some of our adoption animals online. We also offer low cost adoptions through our Seniors for Seniors program designed for Seniors 60 years of age or more who adopt a dog or cat who is at least 7 years old.
Veterinary Clinic
One of the Santa Barbara Humane Society’s primary goals is the eradication of the pet overpopulation crisis in our community. An important weapon in this ongoing struggle is our on-site Spay/Neuter Clinic.
Fee Schedule
On this page, we offer a convenient overview of our reasonable fees for various adoption, clinical and boarding services, including: Adoption Fees; Spay/Neuter Fees; Vaccination Fees; Microchip Fees; Boarding Fees; and Other Services.
Pet Boarding
We would like to welcome your pet to stay with us at the Santa Barbara Humane Society, however some pets are better suited to our boarding facilities than others. To help us determine whether or not your pet is suited to board at our facility please complete the Boarding Health Checklist and bring it with you when dropping off your pet.
Training: Dog Obedience Classes
The Santa Barbara Humane Society sponsors group dog obedience classes throughout the year. Our classes are taught by a local trainer and are held at the Humane Society in the Donald E. Cole Education Center where there is plenty of indoor and outdoor space.
