Learn to communicate effectively with your dog! The Santa Barbara Humane Society invites you to participate in our group classes taught by local trainers or to make an appointment for an individual consultation with our own staff dog trainer. These individuals will assist you in establishing control and providing your dog with effective leadership through verbal and nonverbal language that is understandable to your dog. After working with these dog obedience professionals, you will realize how enjoyable and beneficial it is to own a well-behaved dog.

The Santa Barbara Humane Society sponsored group dog obedience classes are offered throughout the year. Classes are held at the Humane Society in the Donald E. The Santa Barbara Humane Society staff dog trainer is also available throughout the year for one-on-one consultations with the public and their dogs.
